Initializing Secure Environment…
Scanners, fax services and document archives produce TIFF files, often with many pages in one file. Most browsers cannot display TIFF at all, and many converters only take the first page. This one decodes every page of every TIFF you add, whatever compression it uses, and turns them into a single PDF that opens anywhere.
To convert TIFF to PDF, open the TIFF in a converter that reads every page of it and download the PDF. On ihatepdf a multi-page TIFF becomes one PDF page per TIFF page, in order, and fax (CCITT Group 3 and 4), LZW, Deflate, PackBits and JPEG-compressed TIFFs are all decoded in your browser. Combine several TIFFs into one PDF, choose the page size, and download. Nothing is uploaded.
TIFF is the native output of many document scanners and every fax service, and it is still the archive format in a lot of offices. PDF is what everyone else can open. Converting here keeps every page and every pixel. To go the other way, PDF to TIFF writes a multi-page TIFF from a PDF.
A TIFF scan is a picture of text. After converting, run the PDF through OCR PDF to add a text layer you can search and copy from.
Drop the TIFF on this page. Every page in it is read and shown as a thumbnail; press Convert to PDF and they become the pages of one PDF, in the same order.
Yes. Fax TIFFs use CCITT Group 3 or Group 4 compression, which this converter decodes, along with LZW, Deflate, PackBits and JPEG compression.
No. Each page is decoded and stored losslessly in the PDF at its full resolution.
Only Safari displays TIFF natively. This tool decodes TIFF itself, so it works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox too.
No. Decoding and PDF creation run in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
